The ideal Occupational Therapist is willing to provide services to 3 elementary schools within the district. Classroom included in the caseload includes: regular education, low incidence autism, and emotional support. There is up to 40 students included in the caseload- with an guaranteed 40 Hour work week to provide service4s. Diagnoses includes: autism, ADHD, apraxia, motor delays, and emotional disturbance.
-Active license by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy Board
-Graduate from a accredited occupational therapy professional program by NBCOT
-Successful completion of fieldwork requirements.
-Willing to make a full time commitment to provide therapy
-Collaborate with other staff members within the district to ensure team understand of performance, strengths, and evaluation results of students receiving occupational therapy.
-Through various behavioral and functional assessments, evaluate student's ability to function with a daily activity.
-Develop intervention plans based on specific needs and results for each student
-Maintain proper communication with other staff members and parents/care givers
-Schedule tasks and evaluations in a independent manner
